Testimonial of Maria Komninou

There are some moments which are milestones in the career of every professional. I think that for me such a moment was my participation in the curriculum therapeutic play. I understood during practice that we cannot change the children, we have to accept them the way they are. We can change the whole context around them though. We can change our expectations, the way we approach them and create opportunities for them to show their strong sides. In this process I get reinforced myself, I feel great and I strengthen my role as a psychologist, working with autistic children.
