Many autistic children do not start talking. Even the ones who do talk, will not express themselves with clarity.

We all have the ability to ‘listen’ beyond the hearing and to communicate with intuition. As a matter of fact we do that all the time and the messages we receive in that way are often accurate. It happens regularely to all of us that we just KNOW something, without being able to explain how we came to know it.

This is the way we can learn more about the emotional and psychological world of the child in a structured, intuitive way. Autistic children have a lot to tell us! They could explain to us why they do not want to play with the dog, for instance, how they feel at school, how they see different circumstances in their life or what they would like to happen.

What I need is a photograph of the child, the name, birthdate, and the town he lives in, so as to start the non verbal way of communicating with him. This will lead me into his emotional and psychological world, receiving thoughts, complaints and wishes from there. It could also have a positive influence on the daily life of the family and on the understanding of the child’s needs from the people around him.
